To be honest its an okay game. As 2ndzenith said “not for a serious game night”. I’ve given this game 2 goes and I might have to give it a 3rd go before I have something concrete to say.
I kept losing to the bombardment of enemy spawns the keeper played, perhaps it happened to be the luck of the shuffle that he drew all the existing enemies in the first 6 rounds of the game but it just made it hard for me to survive. Even with the so called cleric class I managed to save some characters several times from near death only to still lose in the end.
The one time use abilities per character made it harder despite some being fairly strong, the issue was getting them regenerated. It required a near perfect roll and perhaps a lack of moving the turn before or a misdirection in movement to do so, only to get the chance at it at the beginning of the next turn.
Also despite the rulebook saying it can be played with 4 players (3 players and a keeper), I think its really just a 2 player game.

I like this game, 7.5/10 (Good game, usually willing to play).

There aren’t many coop boardgames I’ve played that come to mind at the moment, so this one stands out right now. It’s always fun to enjoy a boardgame by working together against the surprises of game mechanics and randomness.

It has enough options and surprises to keep it entertaining, a great teamwork aspect that really pushes everyone to work together (because the end game can be unexpected), plenty of heroes to chose from with their own unique abilities and play styles making any one of them fun to play and important to the team.

We just played Heroes of Graxia card game tonight and I have to say, that for me its at par with Thunderstone but yet different enough to be a unique deck building game. Its got a great fantasy quality to it and you can actually feel it, in terms of an rpg perspective. Great artwork, cards that stay in your play area and player interaction (spells and combat).

@wolff Yes Steve can be kinda mean with his sense of humor, but the squabbling between Steve and the gals is what keeps me watching, wouldn’t be BtD without it. . . maybe Felicia and Michaela need to brush up on there comebacks !!!

Board To Death is great they have reviews on so many games, I really consider the rating before I decide to buy anything. I recommend they should have a list of all the games they have reviewed by rating or alphabetically. That way I can look for the top rated games instead of having to watch a bunch that just end up with a low rating.

What do I think about Board to Death TV – I must say the 1st time I saw the reviews I really didn’t think much of it – I thought they would only have a couple of reviews and the web site would become stale – But I must say there’s a fresh way the reviews are produced, I like the way the technology and board game reviews are being made – I look forward now to the days I receive the email for the new reviews
