[media  id=12 width=600 height=350]

What’s Cool:

  • Beautiful Artwork
  • Lots….LOTS of cards, and great size too.
  • Original Concept.
  • Great for artistic people (Dreamy style themes).
  • Cute little Bunnies.
  • Playing with close friends can really make it interesting.
  • Comes in 8 languages.

What’s Not:

  • The points system is a little confusing at first.
  • The bunnies don’t always stay up, so you have to lay them down.

Neutral Information:

  • After playing many games, you will need to become more creative with the cards you get.

  1. Great game! I also don’t really get the genderizing of the game. All the guys I’ve played with loved it just as much as the girls! My only criticism of the game is that it really favours people who know each other well. In a game where some people might know each other really well, but not everyone, those people can use their inside knowledge of each other to pull ahead. Best enjoyed in a group of people who all know each other really well, or not at all!

  2. I thought this game was good fun. It can become a game of luck when the storyteller gives a theme. You could have the perfect image depicting that theme or you can have practically nothing at all, making your card an absolute stretch or just a random throwaway turn.

  3. I played a modified version of this game with my class and they loved it. It forces them to think beyond the literal which is always a good thing!

  4. Great for a large group of people and yet brings people together.
You could call this a projective test.

Fun family game! Depending on the group you have the hints for the cards change completly and makes for an evening of laughter usually at someones expense :)

Great for any age group, i would highly recommend this game and it’s expansion card deck due out soon.

Haha I’m kinda shocked at this being labelled a “female” game, both in your review, and in Ja’s above. I’ve played this with all male groups, and everyone’s had a brilliant time. Perhaps it doesn’t have the depth that hardcore gamers might be after, but as a party game it’s absolutely brilliant. Has replaced Apples to Apples as my go-to party game. The artwork is just great and I really love how the creative element gives the game more variety than you’d expect from such a simple mechanic, as each new person you play it with will bring something new to the table.
    9/10 from me.

  5. Dixit is a beautiful game. It comes with a whole host of oversized cards with bold but unusual artwork on it that provide a talking point even outside of the gameplay. The game is simple and easy to learn, but relies on knowing how other people think so it is more suited to playing with people you know well.

this game is like being dragged to a chick flick by your girlfriend. Some men might secretly like it but others think it way simple. Most men aren’t creative enough for this game. A family setting or couples gamenight would be a better setting.

    I give it a 5.

  6. stunning game. so GORGEOUS and fun and creative!
its artistic and fun at the same time. it references so many
different things, movies, quotes, poems, songs, characters,
stories, etc and the beauty of it is that each painting means something
    different to each person!
    I love it!
