Havana Board Game Video Review

Rio Grande Games

What’s Cool:

  • Nice Production Quality.
  • Great initiative mechanic using two cards.
  • The artwork mirrors the theme well.
  • Two summary cards to help new players.

What’s Not:

  • Furthest players and following players are confusing in the rulebook.
  • Some down time when players are choosing cards.

  1. I haven’t played the game this is developed from: Cuba. But I really like the mechanisms as they are presented here; that is, I love how initiative is set and the action cards. The game looks really nice – I’m kinda a sucker for nice chits.

Given my interest in small-scale building/economic games (for example, I love Jambo), I would expect to give this one a try over the next couple of months. Thanks BtD!
