Luna Llena (Full Moon) Video Review

What’s Cool:

  • Great Concepts.
  • The rulebook has a nice Appendix.
  • You can become a traitor and join the Werewolves.
  • You don’t know if you are a werewolf until night fall.
  • The forest is random every game.

What’s Not:

  • Smallest Token you’ll even play with.
  • Notepad has few Map sheets.
  • Rulebook examples are too small.
  • Player Summary sheets are hand written.

Neutral Information:

  • Cards are written in Spanish/English.
  • Make House rules for the Combat System (First card faced down or something)

  1. After watching the video, it is clear the production level is below what it should have been. If that was taken up to a higher level, the game overall would get much better. I was not impressed by the cartoon artwork on the board/cards and of coarse the small tokens. I really like the game changing element of players becoming werewolves by choice or chance. The font choice on the summary sheet may be themed, but is hard to read.

Let me start off by saying that you will either love or hate this game. I had many issues with it.

First of all, why are we given cards to perform an action? I mean does your character forget how to hide? or explore or search? It would have been a million times better if every player just decided what action they want to perform that turn. This is the core concept of the game and it really pissed me off when i wanted to explorer and kept drawing run cards.

Another horrible experience is that it seems if one of the campers turns into a wolf the wolf team ALWAYS wins and if not then the campers will win.
It seems that as soon as you figure out a member is a wolf there is no point in playing.

Lastly, unless you hiding a couple of the battle cards (when in a fight) the battles are stupid because you know if your winning or losing so the decision of “hitting” or “staying” is already made for you. If you hide a couple of the cards it improves the game.

I love the tiles (great artwork on them too) but the rest of the tokens and pieces are of really poor quality
    I give this game a 4/10
