Kind of reminds me of mousetrap, except its actually worth playing….
The one thing that bugged me about this was the quality of the miniatures, as they often bend in odd ways and the villainous guys kaiser helmet spike broke off on my first play. Other than that it is awesome dumb fun, with a different hazard usually taking the highest kill count each game.
I have to disagree with Ja’s assesment of the river and final stretch. The river is usually best to attempt to catch up, using it as a point generator without a swimming character is usually suicidal. The bridge is a good bet for a heavily encumbered character, as they can usually knock it down to one plank, forcing people into the river. The final locked treasure is a lot more situational. If you character has lockpicking it usually worth at least one try if you have the time.

This is the game for you then. It’s one of those filler type games that’s easy to squeeze in for a 30min to 1 hour game.
The production quality is just awesome.. you get a boulder! Walls! Lava! Rickety bridge! Waterfall! it’s all great and good. I actually was hoping for some type of adventure game and this game fills that niche pretty well.. especially with kids!
The funniest thing about this game is there are so many ways to “die” (lose) lol.. you will probably end up dieing more than winning, but it’s so fun lol

Great family game. Played with sons 9 and 11 and then they played again that night, just the two of them, started again in the morning, and then the 9 year old played by himself to see how he could do on his own.
Needless to say they liked it.
There is randomness, perhaps down the road the lava room will be “known” by experience, but overall just random press your luck kind of fun.
I’m not interested on this one. Think I’ll pass. Sounds like if you play this game 10 times, everybody will become used to it and everything will feel repetitive.
My kids love this game. It’s quick and fast paced. I usually die due to greediness which my kids find very funny.
Well at least there aren’t any vipers in this game. This game is really fun. Its awesome if you can get 5 or 6 players involved.
The only things I didn’t like is the random treasure values and half the bottom map being usless. They should fix the treasure values so every type is a standard value. Its sucks having to get memorize lava tiles for 2 points while your opponent is gaining 4 by searching the river (no skill required).
Also when reaching the end NO ONE every takes the bridge or walking route to the end of the cave. The game is so short everyone has to take the river path (plus there are treasures along the way). They can fix this by making the bolder move with 4 instead of 5 dice rolls.
besides these flaws its still awesome, i give it a 9
