Another epic game from Fantasy Flight. The quality of components and game plan is consistently high. And this is a good way to play the bad guys, as not usually offered in games.

CitOW is a beautiful game as you would expect from Fantasy Flight Games. The board is designed to look like stretched human skin, and the models are all highly detailed and look great when painted.

The four gods all play completely differently and there are numerous ways to achieve victory in the game, so the play experience will vary from one game to the next. This keeps the game interesting, and while when playing with people who have never played the game before it seems that Khorne, the God of War (red) is the easiest to play, it soon becomes clear that the powers of all four gods are well balanced, and Khorne has to play very well to win a game with four experienced players.

Fun game, good for wasting time.
However, has few lacks.

Old world does not really have a chance of winning except in case of Karl Frantz decree.

In most cases you have no reason for destroying region with corruption-except when you are trying to stop Nurgle by destroying populous region.

U cannot have more than 9 power points (thats actually pretty balanced) and on the track you have them marked till 12 (waiting for expansion?).

Also Khorne is easiest to play, but NOT easiest to win because there are lot of powers that can stop fight, and winning by points while playing Khorne can be really hard.

No matter the flaws (biggest IMO being too short gaming time) game is great, 8/10, a good buy for all WHFB fans (short gaming time can be considered as good while waiting for some Warhammer buddies)

I like it more than Space Hulk due to bigger complexity of the rules and player size 3-4.

the game in general is pretty fun to play! the game doesn’t last long, max 3 hrs at 4 players! its really easy to play this game if your red player to beat the game while other players need to depend more on tactics and some serious thinking and planning to win which can be difficult when you got red beating you down, also you should read the manual explaining how to play your character in game giving you a better understanding of your character and also how to defeat the other players.
