Nile Card Game Video Review

Nile Card Game: “NILE the card game consists of 92 cards in a double wide tuck box. A simple set collection game with 5 suits each representing a authentic crop type in ancient Egypt.
In NILE, players draft cards to plant fields. At the beginning of every turn there is a flood, which determines which fields will harvest that turn. Harvested resources are placed into storage piles, which ultimately determine the winner of the game. Players spend the game competing over resources, trading at markets and even making offerings to Hapi, the god of the Nile. The winner will be the player who defends their fields and manages their storage pile most effectively.” – Minion Games-

What’s Cool:

  • Strategic.
  • Fast Paced.
  • You can discard victory points to draw.
  • Easy to teach and play.

What’s Not:

  • Production quality of the cards is bad.
  • The rulebook needs some work.

Have played and enjoyed Nile: Deluxor, an update and upgrade of the original game. I would suggest Omen: A Reign of War by Small Box Games for more quality and play depth.

I am in agreement with Alyssonlago. This card game doesn’t have enough uniqueness or high quality production to set itself apart. Other games would be selected before this. I like that the artwork was created to somewhat mirror the hieroglyphics, but does seem kinda plain.

This game looks cool, but I’m a little bit tired of card games. The coolest ones that I’ve recently played were Space Hulk: Death Angel and Innovation (which deserves a review, by the way!).
Lord of The Rings, the new LCG from FFG looks nice too.
Thank you for the review, guys! Felicia and Steve are my favorites, especially Felicia. But all of you guys are awesome, keep the good work!
