Decent review, did a good job of showing the game’s main elements. I played this one with some friends and it is pretty coolz. Definately better with three or four people than with two as it is easier to get ahead of someone in a two person game and grab the win before they get their forces where they need them. In a larger game, people tend to gang up on that guy before he can sweep the win. I also noticed the larger player games can drag, usually cuz one or more players turtles up and builds units and no one surges out and takes the towers for the win. I’ve been in a game where the other three guys just kept building unit after unit and making a line, so I just pushed up and stole their towers and won the game with 2 trolls and 3 goblins!! The art is cool and gives it a great feel. Not sure why they made such a big deal about missing in combat, if you always hit when attacking no one would ever have anything on the board! Its not like all of the units have 20 hit points, a couple successful strikes kills them. Also, I like the ‘wild dice’ approach where you reroll if you score a strike means even the lowest throwaway soldier unit can have a string of good rolls and bring down their commander unit! All in all its a good strategy game based on fantasy armies and worth a look in my book.

Nice review of the game. I tend to like the genre of the game, and the mechanics work well. I agree on the art style. A little cartoony, but does look good.
