Nightfall Card Game Video Review

This July AEG will release Nightfall: Martial Law, the first expansion to Nightfall.

Darkness has enveloped the world; chaos reigns. Humanity fights back in the only way they know how: with forceful control. But how does one control creatures whose existence defies all logic?

Martial Law introduces many new characters and actions, as well as all-new color combinations for creating chains and achieving kickers. Martial Law will also introduce the new “Feed” mechanic which will allow players to get even more uses out of their orders. Finally Martial Law will also bring to the table a new Wound effect, sure to suprise your opponent.

Feed: The Feed mechanic works as follows. Upon resolving the card, you perform its effect once. Then, immediately, you pay pay the Feed Cost, be it “Discard Two Cards” or “Take a Wound”. You may pay the Feed cost as many times as you are able and wish for that many iterations of the effect. Once you have stopped, the chain continues to resolve as normal and you may not re-use that particular Feed effect again (unless you played another copy of that same card elsewhere in the chain).

    Deck-building at its best.
Take Magic and Dominion and you will get one of the best card game I’ve played so far.
The theme seems sometimes a bit pasted on the game and feels like it could be easily replaced by anything else, but this is a great game.
Highly strategic 2 players game, full of chaos and “politic” (a lot of social interactions) with 4 players…
    A must have !
