What’s Cool:

Nice wooden ingredients.
The Artwork blends well with the theme of witchs.
Once you know the cards, it’s very fast paced and fun for everyone.
You play different roles every turn.
You really have to look at other player’s strategy to base yours on.
You can hide your victory points and only reveal them at the end of the game.

What’s Not:

You don’t get enough gold nugget tokens. (When playing 5 players)
You might need to read the rule book 3 or 4 times before getting it right.
The rule book should have more images, examples, and bigger writing.
The last player has a huge advantage, but then he becomes the first player, so it compensates.

Neutral Information:

Can’t be played with only two people.
The game’s box is bigger then it should be, lots of wasted space.

Couldnt it have come in a nicer looking box…blah. Small thing I know, but I like nice looking boxes so I can “display” my games, plus it makes it easier to convince people to play them.

This game plays very well with the family. My boys are 9 and 11 and request to play this game a lot (and they often win).

The expansion sold with the Alea Treasure Chest fixes the 3 player game and adds components for 6 players.

Witches brew is a fun light game for those who want something fast, but still enjoyable.

I played this game with 3 players and it went well. It’s easy to understand (if someone is teaching you.. not really if you’re the one reading the rules).

Wooden bits and nice art makes this game look good, but the rulebook can be a little confusing. (Just don’t give up!)

This is a fun game that you will enjoy .. especially if you’re just looking for a filler

This is one of those games that either works well with the group you are with, or it doesn’t.

Blind role selection and bluffing, with a healthy dose of chaos is not everyone’s cup of tea. If you don’t mind (or even enjoy) those elements and have a group of people who like having fun while gaming (don’t get me started on unsmiling rules’ lawyers), then this is worthy of your time.

The components are nice (not stellar… the wooden droplets are very small). I think the artwork is extremely well done, as well as in a style that works well with the game.

It’s not a deep game. It’s not a lengthy strategic one. It’s a quick, try to out think your opponents type game. For me, Witch’s Brew has a very Bruno Faidutti feel to it (although it was not designed by him).
