A friend brought this over several weeks ago, and I have to admit I was not that impressed with the game play itself. The components, however, were really nice. Why did I think that the game play itself fell short? Well, after a few plays I just didn't see that many interesting decisions to be made. It seemed to me that what you should do on a particular turn was mostly (almost entirely) decided by your roll and the current configuration of the Ninjas.

Maybe this impression would be reversed had we played a few more times, but I'm really not that interested in playing it again.

My son described this as checkers with dice, but way more fun. Of course, this comes after beating me twice. Even though I was on the losing side for two games. I agree with his opinion. We'll be playing this again.

I've heard that there is a Pirate versus Pirate sequel in the works.

great game.
You can win in 2 ways. Score 7 points or eliminate all opponent ninjas. Scoring points can be interesting also because controllers can go for the almost sure 1 to 2 point scores OR go for the 6 point homerun.

there is alot of thought going into every turn. The only dissappointment is that a great streak of rolling can annihilate the opposing ninja clan. After making some bad decision early in a match, I had won a game with 1 ninja versus 3 ! (actually this made the game fun, but frustrating for the loser)

i give it a 8/10
