What’s Cool:
- Funny Artwork.
- You can recruit humans to help you win.
- There are Legendary animals.
- It’s a break from all the Fantasy Card games out there.
- There are items and “tricks” your army can use.
- If you’re too aggressive, you lose the game.
What’s Not:
- The rule book font is tiny and it needs re-organizing.
- Some cards need more info on them.
- The playing area becomes tall, and it’s hard to see opponents cards. (8X4 Cards playing area)
- The cards should be printed in width to make the playing area shorter.
Neutral Information:
- Expandable: You can mix different cards and create a personalized deck.

Nature of the Beast has an excellent balance between board control and fighting. I love the Dark Nature scale and how the weaker animals have more clout to bring in other animals and the myriad of different kinds of trick cards. We have the two box sets and just got a second copy of each deck so we can try more deck-building.
